Host: Institute of Materials and Joining

Call for Papers until March 31, 2020

On September 7th and 8th, the Institute for Materials and Joining Technology cordially invites you to the Symposium on Materials and Joining Technology in Magdeburg. We are expanding the traditional series of conferences "Summer Course on Materials and Joining". You have the opportunity not only to hear lectures on current topics and trends in the research area, but also to present your own results and to publish them in the IOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering. Your publication is listed in all important databases and can be found and cited. We look forward to register your contribution in German or English by March 31, 2020.

At the same time, we would like to familiarize you with the research activities of our institute and inform you about new metallic and non-metallic materials as well as special processes of their production (Thorsten Halle, Michael Scheffler and Manja Krüger) and new welding technologies, in particular metallic materials (Sven Jüttner). We would be happy to show you our laboratories for the production, analysis and testing of high-temperature alloys and cellular ceramics as well as the laboratories of joining technology using different joining processes for welding, gluing and mechanical joining as well as for testing the joints.

Take the opportunity to visit the Magdeburg Cathedral, the Otto von Guericke Museum, the Hundertwasser House or the impressive waterway junction. Maintain existing contacts to partners from research and industry and expand your network. Our evening event on the first day offers best opportunities.

The conference takes place in Lecture Hall 3 (building 50) in Große Steinernetischstraße 6.

Registration can now be made under this link.

The conference program can be read here.

A social evening will be held on Monday.
